Wallace Advises Warwick Hotels & Resorts on its Aquisition of The Capital Group
The Wallace corporate and property teams have recently acted for international hotel group, Warwick Hotels & Resorts, during its acquisition of The Capital Group. The acquisition includes two hotels, The Capital Hotel and The Levin Hotel, which together include 60 rooms. The Levin and Capital hotels are well known luxury hotels situated in the heart of Knightsbridge. The Capital Hotel incorporates the renowned Outlaw's restaurant run by Michelin starred chef Nathan Outlaw.
The Capital Group was a family owned business run by the David Levin family for 50 years. Warwick Hotels & Resorts is also a family run business. It was launched in 1980 with the purchase of the Warwick New York and now includes more than 55 hotels, resorts and spas worldwide.
The acquisition of The Capital Group extends the Warwick Hotels & Resorts’ presence in London. The transaction represents a substantial investment for Warwick Hotels & Resorts and is a significant deal for Wallace.
Property partner Matthew Morgan led the Wallace team. Corporate partners David Judah and Charlotte Wheeldon dealt with the corporate acquisition and the funding, which was provided by HSBC.
