Wallace advises the founding shareholders of NASH Maritime on its sale to APEM Group
The Wallace corporate and employment teams recently advised founding shareholders, Ed Rogers and Jamie Holmes, on the sale of NASH Maritime to APEM Group, cementing Wallace’s strong expertise in advising on transactions in the consultancy sector. The team also acted for the shareholders of GoBe Consultants on its sale to APEM Group last year.
NASH Maritime was founded in 2018 in recognition of the complexity of managing shipping, navigation and maritime risk with maritime infrastructure and, in particular, the challenges around co-existence with the renewables industry.
Headquartered in Manchester, APEM Group is an environment consultancy providing expert advice to a wide range of industries including water, renewables, power and utilities, marine and ports, transport, construction and development.
The joining of forces comes on the back of a multi-year collaboration between the two consultancies. For NASH Maritime, access to capabilities from within the wider APEM Group will mean it can enhance and extend its maritime risk and innovative software solutions to benefit both the renewables and ports sectors. At the same time, its technical team’s knowledge and skills extend APEM Group’s market offering to global offshore wind and maritime infrastructure sectors.
John Woodhouse and Ilya Alexandrov led the Wallace corporate team ably assisted by Jessica Daly. James Williams and Leigh Janes provided employment law support to the founders. Corporate finance support from our colleagues at Consulting M&A was invaluable in delivering a great result for our mutual clients.
